A senior, deaf, one-eyed dog was found abandoned outside the rectory of a church in Caruthersville, Missouri, left inside a crate beyond the reach of surveillance cameras. Days Spent in Freezing Conditions
According to the shelter, the church pastor and his wife were out of town when the dog was abandoned, making it impossible to determine how long he had suffered alone in the freezing temperatures. Fortunately, when the couple returned, they found the dog and offered him shelter until the Humane Society arrived. However, haunting questions remain: What if they hadn’t returned in time? Severe Health Complications
