Dog Rescued After Spending Four Days Trapped Between Two Walls
In an extraordinary rescue operation, a German Shepherd stuck for four days in a 25 cm gap between two garages was finally saved by firefighters. The animal survived thanks to the sharp ears of local residents and the determination of the emergency services.

Four Days of Silent Suffering
No one knows exactly how — or why — this German Shepherd ended up wedged in a gap barely wider than a sheet of paper. What is certain is that the poor dog remained trapped between two garage walls in Vieil-Evreux, Normandy, for four long days.
His desperate owner had been searching everywhere. Meanwhile, the dog lay immobilized, exhausted, and unable to move. The space: just 25 centimeters wide — too narrow for any human to reach him.
His Whimpers Saved Him
It was only thanks to the faint cries of distress that neighbors became aware something was wrong. Upon discovering the German Shepherd jammed between the walls, they quickly alerted local firefighters.
When traditional rescue methods proved impossible, the firefighters took drastic but calculated action: they broke through one of the garage walls to access the dog — taking care not to cause a collapse.
Safe at Last, But Dehydrated and Weak
After four days of entrapment, the dog was finally freed. Dehydrated, weak, and traumatized, he was immediately taken to a veterinary clinic for treatment. He is expected to remain there for several days to recover fully from the ordeal.
