The Definitive List Of Dog-Friendly Beaches In The UK For Summer 2017

ADVERTISING

When summer is in full swing and temperatures are slightly higher than usual, going to the beach can be a great option for a day out.

While we love our English beaches and their slightly temperamental conditions, we can't be forgetting our pups. In fact, our dogs just love running across the sand and playing in the water, so a beach day out is perfect!

Unfortunately, not all beaches are dog-friendly. Only a few allow dogs all year round, though most are happy to have dogs outside of peak season (from October 1 to April 30). Keeping this in mind, we've selected some of the best beaches which welcome both dog parents and their pets.

Don't waste a journey this summer: read up now and find the perfect beach for you and your pooch!

But do be careful: some beaches may require that your dog be kept on a lead in the summer months.

Obviously, this list is not comprehensive. If your beach of choice is not featured, it is always best to check it out with your local authorities.

If you are lucky enough to spend some time with your dog at the beach this summer, don't forget that there are some vital tips you can follow to keep him safe from the sun.
