A Tragic Tale from Tarn-et-Garonne
In a horrifying incident that shocked the city of Montauban in Tarn-et-Garonne, a woman was found with her dog who had been fatally stabbed multiple times. The local police discovered this distressing scene after neighbours reported hearing chilling screams from the woman's apartment.
The dog, an eight-month-old English setter, had suffered a severe wound, leading to his untimely demise. The police found the dog in the woman's bathroom bathtub, bloody and lifeless. The young woman was in a state of utter confusion, with her clothes also drenched in blood.
An Investigation is Underway
To understand the reasons behind this unfathomable act, an investigation has been initiated by the Montauban prosecutor's office. The young woman, who was reportedly undergoing a psychotic episode during the incident, has yet to provide her statement due to her physical and psychological condition.
In response to the shocking event, a local animal welfare association, Les 4 Pattounes, has lodged a legal complaint against the woman. The lawsuit could result in the woman facing a steep fine and significant prison time if found guilty. The association is also advocating for a permanent ban on the woman owning any animals in the future.
