How to use coconut oil
Like all changes to your dog's diet, it's important to start slowly. So don't keep adding coconut oil to every one of your dog's meals from now on.
Get them used to it gently, and spread out the recommended dose for your dog over a few days.
For puppies or small dogs, you can give them 1 teaspoon or 1/4 tablespoon. And for bigger dogs, 1 tablespoon is the perfect amount. If your dog doesn't like licking it off the spoon, consider mixing it into their meal.
